Pax, the goddess of peace, daughter of Iustitia (justice), a Roman equivalent of Greek Eirene, lately in absolute pieces. I found this picture of the sculpture of Eirene recently and I find it pretty metaphorical. I can’t even describe the level of my disappointment in western democracies being numb, seeing the principles I believe in, exposed to be a fraud. I still however hope that together, we will be able to restore these bringing back their heads and arms. I made this fragile and temporary Pax with medical gauze — a thin and translucent textile known to originate from the region of Gaza. I used no thread nor joints, and was sure that once I would lift it, it would turn into pieces. But to my surprise, it stuck to it and didn’t want to let go.
